James F. Bemboom, 1954-2003, Versailles
James Fredrick "Jim" Bemboom, 49, of Versailles,
died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003,
at his home.
He was born Jan. 20, 1954,
in Jefferson City, a son of
Clemmens and Margaret Zimmerman Bemboom. On May 29, 1992, in Versailles,
he was married to Diana Meador Middleton, who survives of the home.
Mr. Bemboom was a Jefferson City High
School graduate. He was an assistant chief of
police for the Versailles Police Department. He taught the D.A.R.E. program at Versailles
School for 11 years. He loved to
hunt and fish.
Also surviving are a son, Christopher James Bemboom, of Versailles;
three daughters, Sarah Elizabeth Bemboom and Deborah Middleton, both of Versailles,
and Rebekah Peralta, of Seattle;
his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Fred Fisher, of Jefferson
City; a sister, Margaret Vieth, of Jefferson
City; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m.
Friday in the Larry J. Viebrock Memorial Gymnasium at Versailles
High School, with the Rev. William
Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Versailles
Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Citizens
Bank in Versailles for criminal
justice majors.
